About the Club
Bayer 04 Leverkusen is a member of the Bundesliga, the highest German football division, since 1979. The “Werkself”, as the team is also called, has been known for decades for its attractive style of play. Their greatest successes include winning the UEFA Cup (1988), the DFB Cup (1993), a second place in the Champions League in 2002 and five vice-championships. Under head coach Peter Bosz and chief analyst Marcel Daum, the team developed a playing philosophy based on dominant ball possession.
The Challenge
Bayer 04 Leverkusen is one of the most innovative clubs in the Bundesliga and works with various sports technologies. The problem: Different data bases and missing data from training sessions do not allow for valid data comparisons or complete analysis.
