Karlsruher SC and KINEXON Agree to Multi-Year Partnership Deal

Teaming up with the Karlsruher SC, KINEXON has won another 2. Bundesliga club for its live-player tracking. The KSC will use KINEXON’s mobile GNSS system for the next years and aims to professionalise its performance-data analysis to increase its success further.

With the switch to KINEXON’s mobile GNSS system, the Karlsruher SC expects better and more professional data to gain deeper insights. Therefore, the 2. Bundesliga club will use the company’s flexible-in-use technology during training sessions and camps. It still needs to be determined whether the KSC will also utilise the system during official matches. For now, the club plans to chronicle every training session and use the comprehensive data to analyse player development deeply.

We want to reach a new level with our performance analysis “, said the KSC’s coaching staff. Therefore, we aim to use KINEXON’s live data as a guideline for tailor-made sessions to help our players reach their peak when it counts most.“

Getting started will be easy as KINEXON’s GNSS system minimises the initial hurdle to live-data collection. Being 100 per cent mobile, it does not need any sophisticated infrastructure. Instead, every player receives their player tag. Stored in KINEXON’s ultra-light-weight performance vest, it records a player’s every single move on the pitch individually. The data will then be transferred to the coaching staff’s device in real-time, thanks to the latest GPS-and mobile radio technology and cloud computing.

Unlimited Range of Live-Performance Data with KINEXON

Regarding metric data, there are no limits when using KINEXON’s GNSS system. For example, the coaching staff can look into a player’s total distance covered, top speed, acceleration, or distance covered under high load. The system also covers data such as the number of changes in direction, sprints and decelerations. Plus, the coaches get insights into heart frequency, metabolic efficiency, a player’s long-distance metabolism under high load and heart rate variability, among others.

Through vivid visualizations, the system helps paint a comprehensive picture of a player’s performance level to, for example, respond to an eventual slump and prevent injuries. At the same time, the technology supports the coaching staff in controlling the load, so players reach their peak on game day. Diving that deep into live-data analysis is a big step for the KSC regarding the club’s performance analysis.
